Why This Campaign Matters

Every year on World Refugee Day (June 20), we honor the strength and courage of refugees. But solidarity means more than words, it means action.

This year, we’re inviting 1,000 people to give $25 each to raise $25,000 — fueling refugee-led education, digital skills, and entrepreneurship for youth and women in Kakuma.

Your $25 today helps a refugee youth build skills, find online work, and thrive with dignity. Together, we can show that refugees are not alone and that their futures matter.

Stories of Hope & Transformation

Behind every donation is a life changed. Meet some of the refugee youth building futures through SIR’s programs:

The flood took everything but today, I provide for my children again.

Polito N.

SIR gave me the skills to believe in my future again. I’ve started freelancing and supporting my family.

Farhio I.

Learning coding helped me find purpose after displacement. I want more youth to experience this.

Gilbert I.

About Solidarity Initiative for Refugees (SIR)

Today, most refugees are locked out of education and decent work and often excluded from shaping the solutions that affect them. At Solidarity Initiative for Refugees, we’re a Refugee-led organization that equips refugees to learn, earn, and lead — through digital skills, education programs, livelihoods training, and advocacy.

Because when refugees can build futures on their own terms, they drive lasting change for their families, their communities, and the world.
