SIR has launched two impactful projects to support refugee youth in their pursuit of a brighter future. Open Gates, the first of these initiatives, acts as an invaluable resource hub, supplying refugee youth with vital information on education, scholarships, vocational training, internships, and job opportunities. By providing this essential information, Open Gates not only empowers refugees but also encourages their active participation in society, ultimately fostering self-reliance and long-term success.
Complementing Open Gates is SIR's Codedust project, a coding bootcamp designed to teach both refugees and local youth the skills necessary to become proficient software developers. Codedust addresses the digital skills gap while fostering inclusivity, bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds to thrive in the competitive field of software development. These projects collectively represent SIR's commitment to promoting social integration and empowering marginalized communities, making a tangible difference in the lives of those they serve.
